Inspired by Montessori methodology, this ever-evolving catechetical approach had its beginning in 1954 when Sofia Cavalletti, a scripture scholar, and Gianna Gobbi, a Montessori educator, founded the Good Shepherd Atrium in Rome.
The Level 1 course is the foundation for all three Levels of the Catechesis of the Good Shepherd programme. All training begins at this level.
